Extraordinary pyrogène match holder constructed of lacquered papier-mâché and featuring scalloped round base, and hand applied gold stars applied to a dark navy background reminiscent of the basilica ceilings of Ravenna.
Wonderful original condition, but the underside striker has worn away with time. Option to have this remedied with an adhesive black striker if you wish, or if you prefer it in original condition - please let me know your preference.
Measures 3” tall.
